Fotocopias (Xerox copies)
These drawings adress a concern for copy and originality. It takes degraded xeroxed reproductions from history textbooks and enlarges them. The purpose of such gesture is to reassess the value of reproduction, and its process of lossy degeneration as one of possible aesthetic regeneration.
By means of a painstakingly and meticulous hand drawing, value is either re-inserted into these images by means of the time they take to be reproduced, due to the historical reference to lofty masterpieces, or by a new aesthetic judgement deriving from the assembly of these conditions.
